A Tango Festival, including workshops from international teachers, milongas (social dances) and more, will be held from Friday 25 April to Sunday 27 April to complement this event.

And hang onto your ticket! EVERY member of the audience can participate in one of several FREE group tango classes being held by Sydney-based tango teachers after the Championship event and Festival.
The primary goal of the Australian Tango Championship is to expand and promote
the tango culture in Australia.
This year’s events are designed to have “something for everyone”, whether spectator, competitor, dancer (or want-to-be!)
The Championship will provide
winning tango couples with the opportunity to represent Australia
in the VI World Tango Championship being held in Buenos
Aires from 16 - 26 August 2008.
The accompanying Tango Festival is the perfect excuse to interact with other like-minded people from interstate and overseas. The Festival is being run by tango dancers for tango dancers. Register Workshops Milongas, Merchandise
